Drake has been building anticipation for weeks, and now fans finally have a date. The Canadian rapper unveiled the title and release date for his upcoming project on Thursday.
“Fear of Missing Out” is set to premiere on September 15 at 9 p.m. on YouTube, though the timezone has not been specified. Drake began teasing the project last month, posting family photos with the caption “FOMO 2026.” Two weeks later, he shared an image of a CD cover bearing the title “Fear of Missing Out.”
Online speculation suggests the project could be an album, tour, or music video, though its exact nature remains unclear.
Drake has a history of elaborate reveals. In April, he concealed the release date for his Iceman trilogy inside a massive block of ice in a downtown Toronto parking lot. Fans attempted to extract the information using sledgehammers and even a blowtorch and hairspray.
Earlier this week, Drake made an unannounced appearance at Don Toliver’s concert in Toronto, performing tracks from his Iceman album live for the first time. “I just wanna thank Don for having me out tonight,” Drake told the audience. “This is my first time performing the album since it dropped, so thank you for being here. I love what we do in this city, and I want to thank you for keeping it alive.”
It remains unclear whether the performance was a hint about the FOMO project or the beginning of a collaboration with Toliver.
