Drake has unveiled additional details about his upcoming “Fear of Missing Out” project ahead of its release next week.
Drake first teased the project on social media in August, posting family photos captioned “FOMO 2026.” Two weeks later, he shared an image of a CD cover labeled “Fear of Missing Out,” prompting fans to speculate whether it signaled a new album, tour, or music video.
The latter guess proved correct: Drake confirmed on social media Saturday that “FOMO” is “a not so short film directed and scored by the family.”
The announcement came with a video clip showing Drake piloting a neon yellow speedboat while a female voiceover states: “What if I told you there were two versions of your life. In one, you avoid risk and withhold love. You feel like you’ve gone missing from yourself. You look for something you can’t find. In the other version of your life… you find it.”
Drake also confirmed the release date for Fear of Missing Out: September 15.
Drake is known for making his project reveals intentionally elusive. In April, he concealed the release date for his Iceman trilogy inside a massive block of ice placed in a downtown Toronto parking lot. Fans used sledgehammers to chip away at the glacial block — some even brought blowtorches and hairspray — in an attempt to uncover the reveal.
