At least eleven people were killed and 27 others injured Sunday after a passenger coach collided with a truck and overturned in western Türkiye, local authorities confirmed.
The crash occurred near the entrance to a motorway linking the city of Bursa with the Aegean coastal hub of Izmir, according to a statement posted on X by the governor’s office for Manisa province.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene immediately, Interior Minister Mustafa Ciftci said on X, adding that his ministry was monitoring the response in coordination with all relevant agencies.
Photographs from the scene published by Demirören News Agency (DHA) showed the coach resting across safety barriers with its windshield destroyed.
