Elijah Holyfield is poised for a significant transition as WWE plans to send him to AAA.

The shift was announced at the conclusion of the August 9 edition of LFG, immediately after Holyfield teamed with Apollo Crews. Following the match, Shawn Michaels summoned Holyfield to his office and informed him that he would be assigned to work under The Undertaker within the AAA organization, rather than continuing his development in NXT.

Although Holyfield is relatively new to professional wrestling—having begun his training in December 2024 after a football career—WWE evidently sees sufficient promise to accelerate his progress rather than keep him at the Performance Center.

The 28‑year‑old has already studied under notable trainers such as Fit Finlay, Johnny Moss, Matt Bloom, and Robbie Brookside, and now adds The Undertaker to his mentorship roster. Rather than quietly training in NXT, Holyfield is being actively promoted into a distinct wrestling culture early in his career.
