Hyperliquid’s HYPE token dipped to $54. Trading activity remained light, with about $28 billion in Bitcoin and $10 billion in Ether changing hands.
Samsung reported that its chip profits surged more than 250‑fold amid AI‑driven memory shortages. Meanwhile, the Kospi fluctuated between a 6 % rise and a 2 % decline before stabilizing, after having fallen more than 40 % from its June high.
Samsung’s modest share move underscores how lofty expectations have become: a 250‑% profit jump lifted the stock only 2 %. SK Hynix posted a 557 % profit increase on Wednesday yet saw its shares slip 17 %. The issue isn’t the results themselves but the sky‑high expectations set by analysts.
U.S. earnings showed a mixed picture after hours. Microsoft rose nearly 9 % in extended trading on its strongest cloud growth in four years, whereas Meta dropped 8 % following a disappointing revenue outlook. Nasdaq 100 futures edged up 1 % after the index slipped into a technical correction on Wednesday.
