U.S. Central Command Declares Hormuz Blockade “Highly Effective”
The U.S. Central Command spokesperson confirmed during an interview with Al Jazeera that its blockade of the Strait of Hormuz remains highly effective. Lt. Col. Tim Hawkins noted that Iran has no control over the waterway and observed that more than 900 million barrels of oil have traversed the strait since May. This assessment highlights the significant impact of the naval restriction on global energy supply routes.
