EUR/JPY has advanced for the second consecutive day, trading around 185.00 during Asian hours. The currency remains in a constructive near‑term bias, staying above the 9‑period and 50‑period Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs).
The volume‑weighted average price (VWAP) confirms underlying demand near 184.31. A 14‑day Relativeա Strength Index (RSI) that hovers around 51 signals a neutral‑to‑firm upward momentum as the spot price consolidates above key dynamic support levels.
Daily chart analysis places EUR/JPY within a symmetrical triangle, indicating that buyers and sellers are increasingly aggressive, compressing price into a tightening range with no clear side in control. This establishes a temporary balance of power.
A further rise would push EUR/JPY toward the triangle’s upper vertex at roughly 185.90. A breakout above the triangle would launch a bullish rally, taking the pair back toward the all‑time high of 187.95, reached on 17 April.
On the downside, resistance lies at the 50‑day EMA of 184.91, followed by the 9‑day EMA at 184.71. A downward move beyond these levels would reveal the triangle’s lower boundary at approximately 183.60, preceding the four‑month low of 181.87 recorded on 16 March and the six‑month low of 180.81.
