The European Speedcubing Championship in Arnhem, ongoing until 19 July, adheres to World Cube Association regulations and offers a diverse array of disciplines. These include traditional speed solves, one-handed attempts, blindfolded challenges, and unique variations such as solving puzzles while wearing oven mitts.
Behind the scenes, a dedicated team of volunteers meticulously prepares each competition round by scrambling cubes and placing them into individual contest boxes. Additionally, specialty stalls provide lubricants specifically formulated to maintain optimal puzzle functionality. As noted by Kyle Renatus, a competitor and member of the World Cube Association’s communications team, the sport’s strong international community continues to be a major draw for participants worldwide.”
