As part of our Sense of Place: Dublin series, we have secured one of the most coveted tickets in town. The Ruby Sessions is a weekly intimate showcase hosted upstairs at Doyle’s Pub in Dublin, accommodating roughly 100 guests, with each week’s lineup kept under tight wraps.
Had the lineup been publicized, the venue would have been overwhelmed for today’s featured act.
Although Amble has been together only a short time, the trio has already shared stages with Hozier and Ed Sheeran, was a standout at this year’s Newport Folk Festival, and will embark on a U.S. tour beginning in late October.
Amble’s forthcoming album, Love And All Its Wares, is slated for release in January 2027, and today’s session includes a preview of an unreleased track from that record.
We thank Mark Aubele for handling the recording, Ger Murphy and John Broe for filming the session, and Conor Donovan for his contributions.
This episode of World Cafe was made possible by the Wyncote Foundation. It was produced and edited by Kimberly Junod; Miguel Perez serves as digital producer. The engineering was handled by Chris Williams, while Chelsea Johnson manages programming and bookings and Will Loftus acts as line producer.
