WWE Friday Night SmackDown went live from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, with Fightful Select revealing the writers and producers behind the August 14 episode.
The August 14 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, internally titled ‘Boston Massacre’ per Fightful, featured blockbuster segments including the opener with Nick Aldis, Interim Women’s Champion Chelsea Green, Gunther, and Matt Cardona, the rivalry between Undisputed Champion CM Punk and Kevin Owens, and a intense brawl between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes.
The show also featured championship defenses for both versions of the United States Championship and the WWE Tag Team Titles.
