U.S. authorities have launched an investigation after a plane crashed into a residential area in Florida on Sunday, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will examine the circumstances surrounding the crash in Palm Beach County. The aircraft was carrying nine passengers.
The flight was en route from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas to the Bahamas, according to CNN. Tracking data indicates the plane descended roughly 27,000 feet in under a minute before signal was lost.
This is a developing story.
