DUBAI: The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) received a report on Thursday of a vessel fire in the Strait of Hormuz, approximately 9 nautical miles north of Khasab, Oman. The incident was initially observed and reported by the master of a third-party ship passing through the area.
At this time, the condition of the crew aboard the affected vessel remains unknown. UKMTO has confirmed that no information is currently available regarding the extent of damage to the vessel or any potential environmental impact resulting from the fire.
