Powerful floodwaters swept away vehicles across the Greek island of Rhodes early Monday, 2 November, after heavy rainfall struck the eastern village of Archangelos.
Cars and trucks remained partially submerged as water rushed through the streets, carrying trash bins and debris. Residential properties were also inundated, with Archangelos recording the most severe damage, according to local media.
Dozens of homes and businesses were affected, and authorities continued to assess the full extent of the damage.
Although rainfall eased by Monday morning, meteorologists warned that additional showers and thunderstorms remained possible, potentially causing further disruption across the island.
