The listing also indicates additional matches are forthcoming. However, neither WWE nor AAA has confirmed any of the four bouts. The only officially sanctioned match for the card is La Catalina versus Roxanne Perez for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship, a stipulation stemming from Catalina’s title win over Flammer at TripleManía 34 and Perez’s subsequent victory in a four-way to earn her opportunity.
The first listed match continues a storyline that unfolded in Mexico City, where El Grande Americano captured the AAA Mega Championship from Dominik Mysterio on night two of TripleManía. Rey Mysterio, competing in a neck brace, counted the pin after the referee had gone down — a consequence of Dominik costing him his match against Omos two nights prior. Adding Punk to that trios dynamic rounds out the narrative.
Punk has been advertised for Worlds Collide for weeks without a confirmed match. A Chicago native, he is closely associated with the venue located roughly 20 minutes from the city. Had he not lost the Undisputed WWE Championship to Sami Zayn on September 11, he would likely have been defending a title on this card instead.
The Penta and Fénix pairing has been highly anticipated. The brothers have not teamed regularly since joining WWE, and a planned AAA reunion last year fell through when Fénix was injured. Both appeared on SmackDown in Mexico City the prior week, where Fénix retained the AAA Cruiserweight Championship and Penta earned a World Heavyweight Championship opportunity against Roman Reigns. The listing does not specify which members of Perros del Mal will face them.
Fatal Impact versus Las Tóxicas represents the NXT contingent of the show. Jayne, Henley, and Reid have been regulars on WWE programming, with Reid and Henley holding the Women’s Tag Team Championship, while Las Tóxicas appeared on both nights of TripleManía.
Worlds Collide marks the sixth edition under the WWE banner and the third co-promoted with AAA. The event streams free on both companies’ YouTube channels and is expected to air on Fox across Latin America. The previous edition took place in Paradise, Nevada, in September 2025.
Worlds Collide goes head-to-head with AEW All Out, which takes place the same night at NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates — roughly 19 miles away. WrestleTix reported Monday that Allstate Arena is currently configured for 12,821 with 10,834 tickets distributed out of a full map of 17,544, 554 moving in the previous four days, and the cheapest seat priced at $57.10. By comparison, WWE sold 12,493 for its last event at the venue, the July 6 Raw where Punk returned to defeat Zayn for the title. All Out is closer to capacity in a smaller room, listed at 9,148 with 9,140 distributed against a map of 9,542.
