Fred Again.. Teams Up with Latin Mafia for Mixtape Creation Livestream

Latin Mafia’s collaborative journey with Fred Again.. is being captured live on YouTube. The Mexican musical collective has joined forces with the renowned DJ to finalize their joint mixtape, with the entire creative process unfolding through an ongoing livestream.

“Without a doubt, [Fred Again..] is one of the brightest musical minds that we have met,” Latin Mafia’s Milton de la Rosa told Rolling Stone ahead of the livestream. “It’s been a crazy experience to work with him because he’s a very talented person.”

Fred first noticed Latin Mafia after expressing admiration for their debut album, 2024’s Every Day All Day. Since then, he invited the trio to his London home, where they collaborated with Fred’s close associate and brother, Benjy Gibson. The group, consisting of brothers Milton, Emilio, and Mike, described the partnership as deeply personal. “They’re very good people,” Emilio shared. “We love them so much. I would dare to say that they’re close friends of ours.”

Both Latin Mafia and Fred draw from similar emotional depths in their music, making this collaboration a natural fit. In a recent Instagram post, Fred praised the group, writing: “[Latin Mafia] are makin some of my favourite music in the world right now. It’s so beautiful but surprising but contained but adventurous.”

Last December, Latin Mafia joined Fred for the final stop of his USB002 Tour in Mexico City. Prior to the concert, they recorded an audiovisual performance titled Under the Fabric (Mexico City, 11th December 2025), offering fans a preview of their upcoming mixtape. After premiering at Cine Tonalá in Mexico City, the short film is now available on YouTube.

“It’s very fun to make music with [Fred and Benjy] but it’s also demanding in a way because we have to follow their rhythm,” Mike explained. “They’re quick and very good at what they do. We like to work with them because we challenge ourselves to be on their level.”

The conclusion of Under the Fabric featured today’s date, July 28, serving as a clue that Latin Mafia and Fred would reunite in Mexico City. Currently, the collaborators are working alongside Benjy in a Mexico City studio, broadcasting their creative process live on YouTube. This ambitious three-day livestream will continue until the mixtape is complete, marking another significant milestone following Latin Mafia’s recent work with artists like Rosalía, Kevin Abstract, Dominic Fike, Álvaro Diaz, Tainy, and Yandel.
