German authorities are currently tracing a suspect who allegedly drove a van into a crowd outside Berlin’s Pride festival, killing one person and injuring numerous others. After the vehicle incident, witnesses say he reportedly wielded a machete and stabbed additional people, actions that investigators believe were carried out as an Islamist‑extremist act of terror.
