In Okara, a tragic scene unfolded when the bodies of a woman and her three minor children were discovered at a residence in the Jandraka village, located roughly 40 km north of the city on the banks of the Ravi River, within the Ravi Police jurisdiction, on Saturday.
According to the investigation, a Ravi Police unit uncovered the remains of 42‑year‑old Fauzia and her children—Dawood, 6; Junaid, 7; and Dua Fatima, 10—inside the locked house belonging to Muhammad Riaz.
District Police Officer Dr. Asad Ejaz Malhi arrived on the scene and coordinated the retrieval of forensic and ancillary evidence.
The deceased were transported to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for post‑mortem examination.
Police reported that there were no indications of torture or additional injuries on the bodies.
Rescue Incident: A motorcycle accident occurred on Qila Yousaf Bhatti Road in Dipalpur Tehsil, claiming the lives of three individuals.
Rescue 1122 arrived promptly after receiving a call, finding the bodies of Muhammad Mumtaz, his 7‑year‑old son Shoaib Akhtar, and 13‑year‑old Abdullah—son of Afzal—all residents of 27ERB Arifwala in Pakpattan District.
Following legal procedures, the Rescue 1122 transferred the remains to Dipalpur THQ Hospital. A motorist evaded capture at the crash site.
