On Monday, Harry Kane was awarded the 2026 Ballon d’Or, capping a phenomenal season with Bayern Munich and the England national team that solidified his status as one of the world’s premier goalscorers.
This victory marks the first time an English player has claimed the prestigious honor in a quarter-century, since Michael Owen’s win in 2001.
Kane’s individual brilliance was instrumental in Bayern’s domestic double, as he netted 61 goals in 51 appearances across all competitions. He also played a pivotal role in guiding England to the World Cup semi-finals, contributing six goals to the team’s campaign.
