Harry Styles has called Madison Square Garden home every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday for the past ten weeks. On October 31, the singer brought his record-breaking “Together, Together” residency to a close after 30 consecutive nights.

To commemorate the run, New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson took the stage to present Styles with a banner celebrating the historic stretch of shows. Brunson, wearing a “Techno Is My Boyfriend” hat similar to one Styles has been photographed in, shared a brief embrace with the singer as the crowd roared its approval.

The presentation occurred during the second night of Styles’s back-to-back “Harryween” performances. Earlier that evening, he delighted the audience dressed as a New York City rat and delivered a rendition of Talking Heads’ “Psycho Killer.” The previous night, he had appeared as Elvis Presley before changing into a recreation of his X Factor audition outfit to perform Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely” — the very song that launched his career on the competition series.

This marks the second time Styles has been honored with a commemorative banner at the venue. In 2022, he completed a 15-night residency and received a similar tribute during his final show. “Any time that you come to Madison Square Garden and you see that, remember it’s because of you. That is ours,” he told the crowd at the time. “I’m gonna come back when everyone is gone, and just sit and look at that for a while.”

Styles reflected on the significance of the latest banner this month, on the second anniversary of the death of his One Direction bandmate Liam Payne. “It means a lot to be able to look up there at my name up there from the last tour,” he said. “There are so many people, friends, and people that I’ve worked with, that I would’ve never been able to do this without.”

The “Together, Together” tour — which visited Amsterdam, London, Brazil, and Mexico City before landing in New York — has centered on celebrating the shared experience of music and the hope and human connection it sustains. As Styles sings on the standout track “Carla’s Song”: “It’s all waiting there for you.”
