Heart of Midlothian are optimistic about finalising the signing of Falkirk winger Calvin Miller within the next 48 hours.
The Tynecastle club has been in talks with their Scottish Premiership counterparts and is nearing an agreement to bring the 28‑year‑old on board, following speculation that he could move to Celtic earlier this season.
Miller, whose contract runs until next summer, netted nine goals in 47 appearances, aiding Falkirk to a sixth‑place finish in their first campaign back in the top flight.
The former Scotland youth international played a key role in the Bairns’ consecutive promotions from League One to the Premiership.
He began his career at Celtic and has represented Dundee, Ayr United, Greenock Morton, Harrogate Town, Notts County and Chesterfield.
Hearts have already signed winger Josh McPake, who will become a free agent with St Johnstone, as well as Lincoln City centre‑half MJ Kamson‑Kamara and Versailles midfielder Tom Renaud.
Falkirk recently added 18‑year‑old winger Paul McGovern from Glenavon on a three‑year contract for an undisclosed fee.
