PORTLAND, Ore. — The Houston Dash were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against the Portland Thorns on Saturday night at Providence Park after conceding a late equalizer.
Kat Rader gave the Dash (8-6-12, 30 points) an early advantage with a goal in the 10th minute, and Houston maintained that lead deep into the second half. However, Marie Müller struck for the Thorns (12-7-7, 43 points) in the 85th minute to level the match.
Portland dominated the statistical battle, outshooting Houston 5-2 on target and holding 55 percent of possession.
The Dash return to action on Sunday, Oct. 4, when they host the Washington Spirit at Shell Energy Stadium.
