The official song link accumulated more than 64,000 views on Instagram and 74,600 on TikTok, with the combined tags of TWS and M. Sasuke.</p>
<p>The challenge gained worldwide attention when BTS member Jung Kook performed the dance, amassing over 91.6 million views across his social platforms (additional views from fan‑reposted videos are likely). He tagged TWS as the song’s creator, and after his post the track surged in popularity; M. Sasuke’s Spotify listener count rose to more than 741,000 monthly users, and the song entered the Korean music charts.</p>
<p>Fans were intrigued by the anonymous creator behind the song, whose streaming profile displays an animated avatar and whose Instagram shows a masked individual. M. Sasuke later disclosed that the music is AI‑generated, including vocals and instrumentation, with lyrics, arrangements, and prompts supplied by AI. Their music videos are also produced with AI technology.</p>
<p>M. Sasuke has not disclosed his real name or the specific AI music generator employed. In an Instagram post translated from Japanese, they noted that their music and visuals incorporate AI‑generated elements, that production relies mainly on text prompts, and that some tracks are further developed from simple sketches they create.</p>
<p>They encourage followers to use the tracks in personal projects, provided they consult the creator before editing, remixing, training AI models, or employing the music commercially. They advise that users verify any rights or legal considerations and can reach out via direct message or comments with questions.</p>
<p>Another AI‑driven creator, Rym, whose tracks “10count” and “LØVE NEBULA” were originally choreographed by ANSER and later popularized by Jung Kook, has attracted numerous K‑pop idols—including TXT, ITZY, BINI, TWS, P1Harmony, TWICE, BoyNextDoor, ENHYPEN, NCT, ALPHA DRIVE ONE, TREASURE, ZEROBASEONE, KickFlip, INI, and others—to perform its dance routine. Rym, operating under the handle rym_88117, is entirely synthetic, with AI‑generated vocals and production, and has amassed roughly 391,000 Spotify followers.</p>
<p>With the emergence of additional AI music‑generation tools, a growing number of synthetic “AI artists” and digital creators are appearing on streaming services and social media. Suno, a prominent AI generator, has introduced its own virtual artist, Xania Monet, whose releases have charted on multiple Billboard R&B and radio lists. Likewise, the AI‑created artist IngaRose’s single “Celebrate Me” reached #1 on iTunes in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, France, and New Zealand.</p>
<p>Although many AI companies claim their models do not appropriate existing works, an investigation by 404 Media revealed that Suno’s algorithm in 2023 and 2024 was trained on extensive libraries of tracks, lyrics, and music scraped from YouTube Music, Deezer, Genius, and various stock libraries—including Pond5, Jamendo, Freesound, the International Music Score Library Project, and podcast RSS feeds. Suno has indicated that it no longer employs that code and that the details were previously disclosed on its website.</p>
<p>Rym has said the lyrics and stylistic choices were crafted independently, though production was handled via the Suno AI platform. Following public exposure as an AI‑generated act, they announced on TikTok that future releases will be composed without AI assistance.</p>
<p>R&B and human artist Jojo recently commented on the rise of AI‑generated profiles and songs after a friend recommended an online artist who turned out to be entirely synthetic. She noted that the AI‑music sector is expanding more rapidly than any other creative AI field, describing it as “basically auto‑complete for music.”</p>
<p>Jojo points out that because AI lacks legal personhood, it cannot hold copyrights, collect royalties, or maintain a bank account, meaning the original creators lose potential earnings and opportunities. Companies also avoid expenses related to artist compensation, recording time, licensing, and related costs. She observes, “It’s why music companies are choosing AI Music; at the end of the day, it’s simply easier for them.”</p>
<p>The trend has already reached K‑pop with the fully synthetic act GLXE, created by Suno. GLXE’s visuals, music, and overall aesthetic are entirely AI‑generated, and its creator, Orion, explained that while AI streamlines production, he must still manage, direct, and curate the output. He has not addressed the underlying AI programs that draw from existing artists’ work.</p>
<p>Because many viewers are uncertain whether they are dancing to a human or an AI‑generated act, the proliferation of AI‑created music continues to accelerate. After Jung Kook’s viral post, M. Sasuke highlighted additional influences such as Craig David, who he believes inspired Jung Kook’s solo material, and referenced speculation that the vocal resembles LNGSHOT’s Ohyul, who contributed to the “GG EZ” challenge.</p>
<p>M. Sasuke warned that music distribution could be halted without notice if legal regulations or distribution conditions change, and that they intend to release a personally rearranged version should that occur, though the specifics of production were not disclosed.</p>
<p>South Korea, long recognized as a major producer of AI‑generated content, is gradually implementing restrictions on AI use. The Korean Music Copyright Association (KOMCA) now prohibits AI from earning royalties and requires creators to certify that their tracks are 100 % human‑made.</p>
<p>In 2024, the Recording Industry Association of America sued Suno on behalf of several music companies, alleging that the company used copyrighted songs to train its AI, a claim Suno defended as “fair use.” The litigation remains pending.</p>
<p>Several idols have voiced opposition to AI‑generated artists and music.
