World No 2 Luke Humphries is set to face World Matchplay semi-finalist Dirk van Duijvenbode in the first round of the Hungarian Darts Trophy.
Humphries has not competed on the European Tour since his victory at the 2026 Belgian Darts Open in March, but arrives in strong form after winning the most recent Players Championship event on Wednesday in Leicester.
Beau Greaves is on the verge of making history this weekend, as the 22-year-old is set to become the first woman to compete in a European Tour event. She will face Rob Cross in her opening match.
Gian van Veen will take on fellow countryman Niels Zonneveld or qualifier Nandor Major, while Michael van Gerwen begins his pursuit of a second Hungarian Darts Trophy title against Damon Heta or James Hurrell.
Fourth seed Jonny Clayton opens his campaign against Daryl Gurney or Laszlo Kadar, and last year’s champion Niko Springer faces Maik Kuivenhoven of the Netherlands.
