On Monday, a fresh barrage of Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip resulted in the deaths of eight civilians—including a woman and her daughter—and left dozens injured, according to medical authorities. These incidents occur despite a ceasefire that has been in effect since October.

Sources told Anadolu that a woman and her daughter were killed when an Israeli strike struck tents sheltering displaced families in Al‑Mawasi, west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

The attack caused extensive damage to the tents and the belongings of the displaced residents, eyewitnesses said.

Shortly before that, an Israeli drone targeted a beach tent in Al‑Mawasi, killing two Palestinians and injuring 27 others.

Injured civilians, whose wounds ranged from minor to moderate, were transferred to Nasser Medical Complex as well as the Kuwaiti and Al‑Mawasi field hospitals in Khan Younis.

A separate report indicated that another Palestinian was killed and a young girl wounded when Israeli forces opened fire on a civilian gathering near the Bani Suheila roundabout east of Khan Younis.

In Deir al‑Balah, a drone strike on a crowd on Al‑Baraka Street killed three Palestinians—including a child—and wounded several others.

In northern Gaza, a young man and a woman sustained moderate injuries when Israeli artillery shelled the Al‑Salatin area of Beit Lahia, according to a medical source.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military demolished buildings and facilities northeast of Khan Younis, and local residents reported hearing massive explosions caused by the demolitions amid heavy gunfire from Israeli military vehicles stationed east of the city.

Separately, local sources and eyewitnesses recounted that several Israeli military vehicles advanced along Salah al‑Din Street in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, opening fire and conducting artillery shelling.

Witnesses observed the Israeli vehicles removing concrete barriers that marked the so‑called “Yellow Line,” shifting them approximately 150 metres westward toward the Wadi Gaza Bridge.

Residents also discovered new concrete barriers placed along Salah al‑Din Street on Monday morning, indicating a further expansion of Israeli-controlled territory in violation of the ceasefire agreement.

The Israeli military maintains a presence along the “Yellow Line,” a security strip inside the Gaza Strip that restricts Palestinian access to nearby areas. Israeli officials state that it now controls more than 70 percent of Gaza’s territory.

Data from Gaza’s Ministry of Health indicate that Israeli ceasefire violations since the truce that took effect on October 10 th have resulted in 1,045 Palestinian deaths and injuries to 3,380 others, the majority of whom are women and children.

Since October 2023, over 73,000 Palestinians have been killed and more than 173,000 injured, accompanied by widespread destruction that has impacted around 90 percent of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure.
