J.Crew is dedicated to delivering premium suiting.

The fashion brand has enlisted the New York‑based comedy group Please Don’t Destroy to lead its latest fall‑suit campaign. Beyond serving as attractive faces, the trio’s comedic talent drives the narrative: the tagline “We take suiting seriously” pairs still photographs by Luke Gilford with a comedy short directed by Martin Herlihy and written by the trio together with Brady Lees.

In the short, Ben Marshall, John Higgins and Martin Herlihy step into their first day at J.Crew’s Suit Shop located at the retailer’s 19 Bond Street store in Manhattan. The scene overflows with comedic mishaps as they assist three male shoppers in finding their ideal fits. After navigating several quirky challenges, they showcase J.Crew’s three suit styles—the Ludlow Slim Fit, the Crosby Classic Fit and the Kenmare Relaxed Fit. Marshall also dons a J.Crew tuxedo, channeling a 007 aesthetic. View the full video below.

“J.Crew has a long history of helping people find their first suit,” said Julia Collier, the company’s chief marketing officer. “Collaborating with Ben, John and Martin allowed us to inject personality and humor into that journey. They transformed the concept of a day in the J.Crew Suit Shop into something uniquely theirs, highlighting the versatility and superior fit of our suits.”

The accompanying still photographs, captured by Luke Gilford, portray the trio across New York’s Financial District in a variety of 1990s‑inspired styles and poses designed to capture the area’s “energy and attitude.” Gilford’s images have appeared in publications such as The New York Times, Vanity Fair, GQ and Vogue.

“Wearing a suit makes me feel like an adult,” said Marshall. “Now I have to change everything else in my life to catch up to that feeling.” Higgins added, “I think a good suit should make people assume you know what you’re talking about. These do that, which is very helpful for us.” Herlihy, who directed the video, remarked, “Directing this video for J.Crew was a joy and an honor. Two of the actors were pretty unprofessional, but I will keep them anonymous.” The trio wrote sketches and delivered numerous viral videos during their tenure on Saturday Night Live. Herlihy and Higgins have since left the show, while Marshall remains on staff and was promoted to castmember status.
