Jacob Fatu reportedly sustained a legitimate injury ahead of his WWE Clash in Italy.
The Samoan Werewolf is currently feuding with his cousin, Roman Reigns, over the Undisputed WWE Championship. They met at Backlash, with The OTC emerging victorious, yet Reigns delivered a vicious post‑match attack.
Although Adam Pearce considered firing Fatu for assaulting WWE officials at Backlash, Reigns gave his cousin a final opportunity to acknowledge him. Fatu instead demanded a Tribal Combat match, meaning he must either recognize The OTC or risk dismissal if he loses this Sunday.
Jacob Fatu May Miss WWE Clash in Italy
Prior to his Tribal Combat match with Roman Reigns, Jacob Fatu sustained a legitimate back injury in a street fight against Solo Sikoa at a WWE live event in Liverpool, England, according to False Finish.
WWE sources indicate that the Samoan Werewolf is expected to be fit for his showdown with Reigns. Cory Hays of False Finish later posted an update on X, stating that Creative may adjust the storyline if Fatu is not ready by Sunday.
They are under the assumption that Jacob will be fine by Sunday. In the case that Fatu is not fine, WWE is currently looking into potential pivots.
