St. Petersburg, Fla. — Jacob Misiorowski left Game 5 of the World Series in the bottom of the sixth inning after appearing to injure his right leg.
The Brewers ace was seen grabbing the leg, a trainer visited the mound, and Misiorowski walked off under his own power. JoJo Romero replaced him with Milwaukee leading 4-0. Misiorowski had thrown 5 2/3 innings, allowing two hits, one walk and two strikeouts, while not surrendering a run.
Misiorowski had previously dealt with right-leg issues. He left three starts with right-leg cramping, including a June 2025 start against St. Louis with right calf and quad cramps, a May 1 start against Washington after 5 1/3 hitless innings with a right hamstring cramp, and a May 13 start against San Diego with a right quad cramp after seven scoreless innings and 10 strikeouts. After the San Diego start, he said it was the same issue as before and that he would be fine.
The Brewers have not said what caused the latest problem.
