Jadon Sancho is currently without a club, but interest in the free agent remains strong, with at least two Premier League teams monitoring his situation.
The transfer window has now shut, which has left many journalists searching for fresh topics to cover. Fortunately, the free agent market still offers plenty of storylines.
While clubs can no longer register players from other teams, they remain free to sign individuals who are unattached. Several high-profile players, including those who featured at the highest level last season, are still available.
Sancho spent the previous campaign on loan at Aston Villa, where he made 39 appearances and scored two goals. At 26, he still has years ahead of him, and despite an inconsistent spell, his recent experience with Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, and Villa suggests a club could yet take a chance on him. A mid-table side looking for a proven winger might well come forward.
Sancho remains an attractive option despite a turbulent recent career

According to TeamTalk, two unnamed Premier League clubs have expressed interest in signing Sancho, while Borussia Dortmund are also weighing up the possibility of bringing the winger back for a third spell at the club.
As is often the case, interest from Saudi Arabia has also been mentioned.
For now, no move appears to be close. Sancho faces a choice between waiting for the right opportunity to materialise or pushing to secure his next club quickly, before the absence from competitive football begins to affect his prospects.
