Jericho and Wayne Set for Rematch at AEW Grand Slam France in Paris

Chris Jericho and Nick Wayne will collide once again at AEW Grand Slam France.

The bout was officially confirmed during the September 23 episode of AEW Collision in Indianapolis, Indiana, after another heated face-to-face between the two wrestlers.

Jericho emerged victorious in their recent Dynamite encounter, but Wayne struck back with a post-match assault. On Collision, Jericho acknowledged the attack while expressing respect for Wayne’s willingness to seize the moment.

Jericho invited Wayne into the ring, and the pair engaged in a sharp exchange. Jericho highlighted parallels in their careers, noting both started wrestling as teenagers and cut their teeth competing in Japan.

Jericho also referenced advice from the late Nick Bockwinkel early in his career, recalling that Bockwinkel urged him to slow down. Jericho admitted he struggled with that criticism at the time, drawing a comparison between his younger self and Wayne’s current demeanor.

Wayne pushed back, discussing his own growth as a wrestler before the conversation shifted toward setting up another match between them.

Jericho ultimately accepted the challenge, confirming Chris Jericho vs. Nick Wayne for AEW Grand Slam France in Paris.
