Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy has publicly disputed a circulated TikTok clip that purportedly shows him favoring a particular quarterback for the starting role.
The video shows Jeudy raising four fingers during a livestream—an action many interpreted as a nod to Deshaun Watson, who wears number 4. However, the clip appears to have been edited, as a noticeable cut occurs between the finger gesture and the subsequent question that was meant to interface with viewers.
Responding on X, Jeudy said, “Y’all cut the clip perfectly for that narrative.” He made it clear he would not weigh in on the decision that coach Todd Monken will ultimately make when Watson and Shedeur Sanders compete for the Browns’ starting quarterback position during training camp.
Jeudy added, “I don kilo speak on decisions that aren’t mine to make. I support my teammates and do my job, focusing on what I can control. Let’s stop creating narratives that are there for likes and clicks. I bet this won’t go viral because it reflects a positive and real perspective.”
Watson, entering the final season 遂 of his five-year, fully guaranteed $230 million contract, and Sanders, in his second season, will continue to share first‑team practice reps throughout the offseason program and beyond into training camp.
