Jorge Martin of Aprilia Racing has been declared unfit to compete in Sunday’s Australian Grand Prix.
Martin crashed on lap eight at Turn 8 of the Tissot Sprint while battling Marc Marquez for the lead, ending his participation early.
Medical scans showed a broken radius and a suspected ulna fracture near the wrist. The injury will require further assessment.
Additional examinations are planned to confirm the extent of the injury, but Martin has already been ruled out of Sunday’s race.
