Jorja Smith has set a release date for her third album. What Are The Odds lands on FAMM on August 21, and Smith previewed it today with a new song with Wizkid, “Alive.” A music video, which follows the singers as they dance, sweat, and flirt their way through a Paris summer night.
Smith’s frequent collaborator P2J produced the 12-track What Are The Odds, which marks Smith’s first new album since 2023’s Falling or Flying. Per a press statement, the pair began discussing making a dance record shortly after finishing their 2023 hit “Little Things.” Besides Wizkid, the LP’s only other feature comes from grime rapper Devlin; he appears on “This City,” a reimagining of his 2010 track “London City.”
So far this year, Smith has contributed an original song to the soundtrack for Riz Ahmed’s Prime Video series Bait played on the inaugural season of Saturday Night Live UK and celebrated the tenth anniversary of her breakout hit “Blue Lights.” Smith will spend her next album release day co-headlining London festival All Points East with Tems.
