The Kalamazoo Wings, the ECHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, have signed forwards Spencer Kennedy and Dylan Wendt to contracts for the 2026‑27 season, the organization announced from Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Spencer Kennedy, 25, will rejoin the K‑Wings for the upcoming campaign. He posted a six‑point season (1 goal, 5 assists) and 104 penalty minutes in 26 games during 2025‑26. The Lethbridge, Alberta, native also logged time with Norfolk in 2024‑25, collecting four points (2g‑2a) and 145 penalty minutes across 25 games. As a rookie, he rotated through five clubs—Reading and Atlanta (ECHL), and Roanoke, Peoria, and Pensacola (SPHL)—where he recorded five points (2g‑3a) and 178 penalty minutes in 46 contests.
Before turning professional, Kennedy played two seasons with Portage College, scoring 10 points (4g‑6a) and amassing 170 penalty minutes in 28 games. He made his pro debut with Roanoke late in the 2022‑23 season, netting three goals and serving 131 minutes in 19 games.
Dylan Wendt, 25, is slated for his third professional season. The Grand Haven, Michigan, forward posted 21 points (9 goals, 12 assists) in 30 games with Adirondack during the previous campaign and added three assists in 19 AHL contests with Utica. Wendt debuted with Utica late in the 2023‑24 season, contributing two points (1g‑1a) across five games.
He honed his game at Western Michigan University from 2021 to 2024, compiling 69 points (33 goals, 36 assists) in 111 collegiate games.
