The postponement was announced just hours before the scheduled start of the Little Caesars Arena show.
In a statement posted to Instagram Stories hours before taking the stage, Katseye announced that member Megan Skiendiel would need time to recover from an unspecified illness.
The group shared: “We’re so sorry to share that tonight’s show at Little Caesars Arena has been postponed due to illness. Unfortunately, Megan is unwell and unable to perform tonight, and we want to ensure she has the time she needs to rest and recover.”
Addressing fans, many of whom had traveled out of state, Katseye added: “We know so many of you have traveled, made plans, and been looking forward to tonight. We are incredibly disappointed that we won’t get to see you, and we’re truly sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and for always showing us so much love. We love you and can’t wait to see you soon.”
Earlier this year, Katseye withdrew from Olivia Rodrigo’s highly anticipated Daisy Chain Fields Festival following a sprained ankle for member Megan Skiendiel.
The North American leg of Katseye’s Wildworld Tour commenced on October 13 and is scheduled to run through November 28. Two of the six group members are currently on hiatus. Following Manon Bannerman’s announcement in August that she would take a break for mental health reasons, Sophia Laforteza temporarily stepped away to focus on her well-being. Laforteza is expected to rejoin the group in January, but neither she nor Bannerman are participating in the North American dates.
