NBC has announced that KATSEYE will be the musical guest for the Season 52 premiere of Saturday Night Live, confirming the global girl group’s first appearance on the long-running sketch series.
The premiere airs Saturday, Sept. 26, with Jalen Brunson making his hosting debut. The New York Knicks captain and 2025 Forbes 30 Under 30—Sports honoree was named MVP of the 2026 NBA Finals, which delivered New York’s team its first championship in 53 years.
KATSEYE’s appearance will be followed by another first on Oct. 3, when Baltimore band Turnstile performs in an episode hosted by Dakota Johnson. It will be Johnson’s third time hosting and comes one day after her film Verity opens in theaters.
ROSALÍA returns to Studio 8H on Oct. 10 for her second appearance as a musical guest and her first since March 2022. The performance comes two days before the first round of Grammy voting opens, providing prominent timing ahead of further attention for her critically acclaimed LUX album. Comedian and former SNL cast member Shane Gillis hosts the episode, marking his third time in the role.
Gracie Abrams will provide the Halloween-night soundtrack on Oct. 31 during her second appearance on the show, while Obsession star Inde Navarrette makes her hosting debut. Outside SNL, Navarrette is also set to appear in an upcoming X-Men film and Apple Studios’ thriller The Waffle House Index.

The episodes air live on NBC at 11:30 p.m. ET and are simulcast on the Peacock app, with next-day streaming available.
Why KATSEYE’s SNL Booking Is Significant
For KATSEYE, the appearance arrives at the strongest commercial point in the group’s career to date.
The group’s third EP, WILD, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 last month after earning 170,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. It became the group’s first chart-topper, following Beautiful Chaos, which peaked at No. 4 in 2025. The U.S. total was the largest weekly unit figure for an all-woman group since the Billboard 200 began measuring albums by units in December 2014, making WILD the fourth No. 1 album by a female group this decade, after releases by TWICE, NewJeans and BLACKPINK.
KATSEYE will be the first all-female group to perform on SNL since Boygenius appeared on the Nov. 11, 2023, episode hosted by Timothée Chalamet. HAIM has served as musical guest on Nov. 23, 2013, and May 13, 2017, but the show’s most recent traditional girl group was Destiny’s Child, which performed on May 5, 2004. Promoting what became their farewell album as a trio, Destiny Fulfilled, the group shared the episode with host Robert De Niro.
The appearance comes during KATSEYE’s THE WILDWORLD Tour, which opened Sept. 1 at Dublin’s 3Arena and reportedly sold out within 48 hours. The tour has also included two nights at London’s The O2. The SNL episode falls during the group’s break between the European and North American legs, with future dates including back-to-back shows at New York’s UBS Arena, Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena and Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes. At press time, KATSEYE is touring with four members—Daniela, Lara, Megan and Yoonchae—while Sophia and Manon remain on hiatus for health-related reasons.
The booking also carries particular significance for a group assembled through the K-pop system with the American market in mind. KATSEYE was formed through 2023 survival series The Debut: Dream Academy, created jointly by HYBE and Universal Music Group’s Geffen Records, before debuting in 2024. BTS became the first Korean act to appear as an SNL musical guest in April 2019, a distinction it still holds seven years later. KATSEYE’s youngest member, Yoonchae, will join BTS as one of the relatively few Korean singers to perform on the Saturday Night Live stage.
