At the AEW Redemption pay‑per‑view held at Montreal’s Bell Centre, World Champion Kenny Omega faced TNT Champion Kevin Knight in a contest for the AEW Men’s World Championship.

The match opened with both competitors trading pressure. Early in the bout Knight delivered a decisive DDT that sent Omega to the mat. As Omega regrouped, the crowd rallied behind him. They exchanged brief headbutts in the corner before Omega performed a sunset‑flip powerbomb from the top rope, immediately following it with a V‑trigger submission attempt. Knight seized the title, but Omega countered with a forceful boot to the face. Knight responded with a rock‑bottom finisher and then tried a frog splash, yet Omega met the move with knees that squashed the impact. Knight reversed a maneuver, but غلط Omega landed a sharp knee strike and finished the match with the One‑Winged Angel, securing the victory.
