Kevin Nash has addressed the possibility of joining WWE’s creative team under Triple H, explaining that he has no interest in taking on the role.
The WWE Hall of Famer discussed the topic during a recent episode of his Kliq This podcast with co-host Sean Oliver. When asked whether he would consider working on WWE’s main roster creative team, Nash was direct in his response.
Nash’s comments come amid reports that Shawn Michaels could replace Bruce Prichard as WWE’s Executive Director of Creative Writing & Talent following WrestleMania 43 in 2027.
Such a move would place Michaels closer to Triple H’s main roster creative team, while Sean “X-Pac” Waltman is already involved with WWE’s developmental talent through the WWE ID program.
Asked directly about joining the main roster creative team, Nash immediately dismissed the idea, suggesting his personality would not fit the working environment.
“For me? No,” Nash said. “I’m kind of a jack-off. I like to laugh. I think I would irritate Paul. I like to laugh too much. So, I just don’t think they have time for my shenanigans.”
Nash also cited his age as another reason he does not want a full-time position. The former WCW and WWE Champion is 67 years old and made clear he has no desire to return to a regular working schedule.
“I don’t want to work,” Nash added. “I’m 67 years old. It’s like, f**k. I’m the oldest f**ker. Paul’s 10 years younger than me, that’s a huge difference.”
While Nash ruled out joining WWE’s main roster creative team, he suggested a remote position with NXT could be more appealing. However, he stressed that effective booking requires spending time with performers and understanding their personalities.
“The first thing I’d have to do is, I’d have to completely immerse myself in the product,” Nash explained. “I’d have to sit down, talk to people. You can’t book people that you don’t have a feel for.”
Nash also weighed in on the possibility of Michaels taking over Prichard’s position, stating that the move would make sense given his experience leading NXT.
“I know nothing,” Nash said. “It would only make sense for Shawn to take the spot. Shawn’s basically been the head of creative for NXT. And it’s not even [minor leagues], to me it’s just another brand.”
