Knicks Celebrate Championship Success Amid Uncertain Future
As the city celebrated the current triumph, Knicks owner James Dolan was already focusing on the road ahead.
“We’re gonna keep working to bring you even better basketball,” Dolan told the crowd at City Hall during Thursday’s championship parade. “Although it’s hard to imagine that we get much better than this. But we will, right fellas?”
However, that ambition may be complicated by the owner’s own recent comments. Just one day before the celebration, Dolan hinted that he might be reluctant to make the necessary financial or strategic commitments required to retain the current roster or further upgrade the team.
