The Indian Men’s Cricket Team visited the Indian High Commission ahead of the third ODI against England at Lord’s, meeting with members of the Indian diaspora.
The event took place on July 18, one day before the match. BCCI Vice-President Rajeev Shukla was present and addressed the gathering alongside head coach Gautam Gambhir, captain Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer and Prasidh Krishna, who took questions from diaspora members.
During the visit, Indian stars Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were seen in cheerful conversation with head coach Gautam Gambhir. Images from the occasion showed the three seated together in the front row, sharing stories and laughter.
The senior players and their coach have recently drawn public attention for different reasons. Before the series, observers noted a tense exchange between Kohli and Gambhir in net sessions, a topic of interest given their history. Rohit’s future was also debated after retirement rumours ahead of the final ODI were dismissed by the BCCI before the game.
