Konnan asserts that Raven’s tendency to voice dissent negatively impacted his professional trajectory. Addressing a listener question regarding Raven’s own admission that he should have “kept his mouth shut,” Konnan drew a parallel to his own history of challenging creative direction. The remarks originated from the October 6 edition of the K100 mailbag, later highlighted in an October 20 recap clip.
“I don’t think it’s a theory, it’s the truth. … I didn’t ingratiate myself to a lot of people cuz I, you know, I would always talk back. … I go, ‘Bro, I’m not going to do this and this is why.’”
Disco Inferno pushed back on the notion that Raven underachieved, citing his prominent mid-card status and high-profile program with Diamond Dallas Page in WCW.
“I don’t think he underachieved. … Like he was never like the main eventer in WCW but he was top in the mid card and actually had a run with some of the main eventers when he worked with Page and stuff.”
Raven has previously detailed the creative philosophy behind The Flock, offering further context on his tenure with the promotion.
