KUMAMOTO, Japan — The operator of the privatized Kumamoto Airport, located on Japan’s southernmost main island of Kyushu, plans to launch scheduled passenger flights to Thailand within the next three years. Authorities are also actively exploring potential new routes to Vietnam and other emerging Southeast Asian destinations to bolster regional connectivity and economic ties.
