Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kyler Murray developed hamstring tightness in the final quarter of Sunday’s 19-15 loss to the Detroit Lions. Murray indicated that the issue occurred too late to affect his performance.
He will undergo further evaluation on Monday to determine the severity of the condition.
“We’ll look at it, obviously, and do what we need to do,” Murray said, according to Kevin Seifert of ESPN.
After throwing a touchdown pass with 8:44 remaining, Murray briefly visited the sideline medical tent before returning for the next drive.
It is unclear whether this incident was related to the hamstring tightness or another issue.
“Kyler Murray just had some hamstring tightness, and he was able to return late in the football game,” coach Kevin O’Connell commented.
Murray completed 17 of 29 passes for 210 yards, with two touchdowns and an interception. He also rushed for 35 yards on four carries.
