Larian Studios CEO Swen Vincke has responded to My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way’s on‑stage mention of Baldur’s Gate 3 at Wembley Stadium.
The band performed their final headline set of the tour at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, July 11, as part of the “Long Live The Black Parade” tour.
During the second half of the concert—performed on a smaller B‑stage in the middle of the arena—Gerard Way halted the show after his brother and bassist Mikey highlighted a banner inquiring whether the group had ever played the acclaimed RPG Baldur’s Gate 3.
“I’ve only played Baldur’s Gate 1,” Gerard said, adding, “I probably would have enjoyed 2 and 3, but I ran out of time. ‘Did you play Baldur’s Gate 3?’ he asked the fan. ‘Is it good? I assume so. That first game was a lot of fun—it felt like playing Dungeons & Dragons back then.’”
The exchange quickly went viral on TikTok and other social media, prompting a response from the game’s creators. “Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance, what do you mean you haven’t played the critically‑acclaimed Dungeons & Dragons RPG, Baldur’s Gate 3?” Larian Studios posted on X. “There’s a code with your name on it, if you’d like to try it.”

“I think we’ll add a parade to the next game,” Swen Vincke added.
During the performance, Gerard honored the late British Warhammer illustrator John Blanche, calling him “amazing.” “I want this really, really horrific, nasty, spooky song to go out to him,” he said, and the band followed with the debut album track “Vampires Will Never Hurt You.”
Larian is currently developing two new titles after canceling work on a Baldur’s Gate 3 sequel and expansion. The first, Divinity, was announced earlier this year but has no release date yet.
