Lawrence’s 100th Career Touchdown Pass Handed to Rookie Wide Receiver

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence was unaware that he had just thrown his 100th career touchdown pass. When informed during the first half of the 34–10 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, he asked who possessed the ball.

He said he would like to keep the ball, as it was the same one he received from his first touchdown pass as a rookie in 2021.

However, he learned that rookie receiver Josh Cameron had the ball, and Lawrence recognized that the significance would be greater for Cameron, as it was his first NFL catch.

“He can keep it,” Lawrence said. “I guess I need to reach 200 career touchdown passes now; I’ll let him keep that one.”

Cameron’s 4-yard reception at 1:42 of the first quarter, defended by cornerback Denzel Ward and safety Grant Delpit, put the Jaguars ahead 14–0.

“It’s definitely a play that we kind of practiced all week, and whenever I saw the safety kind of cheated over to the left, I was like, ‘OK, it’s probably going to come my way,’” said Cameron, who also caught a 16-yard pass in the third quarter. “Usually in practice, [our defense] was cheating the other way, but I’m like, ‘OK, let me lock in.’ And so, I just did my job, and then I turned and as soon as the ball kind of came at me, it was there.”

Lawrence added two more touchdown passes, bringing his career total to 102, placing him one behind Blake Bortles for second on the Jaguars’ all‑time passing touchdowns list. Mark Brunell remains first with 146.

He is now the fourth player in NFL history to accumulate 100 or more passing touchdowns and 20 or more rushing touchdowns before turning 27, joining Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Cam Newton.
