A cassette marked “Toni Storm Tapes” was given to content creator Astrid Pizarro at AEW WrestleDream in Orlando, Florida, hinting at more material from “Timeless” Toni Storm, who has been absent from AEW television since March.
A stranger handed Pizarro a package labeled “play me,” and she discovered the tape was one of five copies.
“I received the tape at WrestleDream from an unknown person. It simply said ‘play me.’ Fortunately, my dad and brother own a cassette player, so I could listen to it today,” Pizarro said in a video posted on X. “I was the only person in my area to get one, and it reads ‘one out of five.’ I don’t know who holds the other four.”

What’s On The Tape
Pizarro transcribed the recording in a thread on X. Renee Paquette provides narration, noting that Storm has not been seen or heard from since March 18, 2026. According to the narration, a brown‑wrapped package tied with string and lacking a return address arrived at AEW’s Jacksonville office last Wednesday. Inside were five analog cassettes. Paquette mentions long‑standing rumors that Storm kept a recorder in her purse and captured “every conversation, meeting and moment.”
The first cassette is titled “Mundanities.” Its opening track, “Morning Mantra,” features Storm reciting backward affirmations such as, “I face the day with resentment and scorn. My mind is a mess, my heart is in shambles and my body is barely holding it together like an overstuffed garbage bag but damn it, I am timeless.”
Additional tracks include Storm chatting with her 12‑year‑old cocker spaniel, a “Seminar” segment where she advises wrestling students, “Lesson number 4: if you want to succeed in this business, get yourself a cool hat,” and a “Cinema” piece about her unreleased film “Toni, Toni, Toni.” Paquette says the final tape is labeled “Death.”
Pizarro later uploaded the full audio of her tape to YouTube.
Tony Khan On Toni Storm
During the WrestleDream media scrum, Tony Khan was asked about Storm’s status. “I can’t specify when or where, but I know ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm will return to AEW,” Khan said. He added that she is “seeking payback against whoever removed her.”
Storm last competed at AEW Revolution on March 15, defeating Marina Shafir. She was pulled from a scheduled rematch with Shafir on the March 18 Dynamite in Fresno, California, and AEW aired an angle showing Storm found unconscious in her locker room. Dave Meltzer reported at the time that her absence was not injury‑related, and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter later indicated she was expected to be out until 2027.
Storm holds the record as a four‑time AEW Women’s World Champion.
Analysis:
The leaked tapes and Khan’s remarks at the scrum suggest AEW is laying the groundwork for Storm’s comeback. With only one of the five cassettes made public so far, further clues may emerge in the coming weeks. AEW has not announced a return date.
