Liberty looking to make playoff ‘history’ after up-and-down regular season

MINNEAPOLIS — First-year head coach Chris DeMarco entered the Liberty organization fully aware that the expectations placed upon him had been significant.

At his intensive press conference in December, DeMarco voiced his preparedness for the pressures ahead.

“If you ever played any sport and you’ve ever felt the desire to rise above simple competition, this pursuit is precisely what you seek,” he explained.

Fast forward to now—nine months later—and DeMarco retains a similarly positive outlook as the club gears up for its inaugural WNBA playoff matchup.
