Actress and presenter Lisa Faulkner has shared an update on her recovery following breast cancer surgery performed two weeks ago.
The former Celebrity Masterchef winner informed her Instagram followers that her post-operative results were positive. She confirmed that surgeons successfully removed everything, leaving her “all clear,” though she is scheduled to begin radiotherapy in a few weeks.
Faulkner explained that her cancer was detected in its earliest stages. Despite undergoing a significant operation and noting that she still has “quite a bit of healing to do,” she expressed that she is feeling well and recovering steadily.
Emphasizing the importance of early detection, she urged her fans not to delay their screenings. “I’m so grateful that I went for my mammogram,” she said, noting that the cancer would not have been discovered without the appointment.
The 54-year-old actress also extended her gratitude to the NHS for providing the screenings and early treatment that were critical to her care.
Known for her work in *EastEnders*, *Holby City*, and *Spooks*, Faulkner received a wave of support from peers, including former *EastEnders* star Tamzin Outhwaite, who sent her love and encouragement.
Faulkner, who is also a food writer, is married to chef John Torode. The couple previously co-hosted *John & Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen* on ITV.
Torode left the BBC’s *Masterchef* last year following an upheld allegation regarding the use of a racist term, an incident he claimed to have no recollection of.
