Bangladesh supporters can look forward to the return of wicket‑keeper‑batter Litton Das, who has fully recovered from the calf injury that sidelined him during the recent ODI series against Australia in Dhaka.

Das, who has been in excellent form, missed the three‑match T20I series against Australia in Chattogram and was subsequently ruled out of the one‑off Test against Zimbabwe, with Mahidul Islam Bhuiyan replacing him.

There were doubts about his availability for the upcoming ODIs, especially as both he and pacer Taskin Ahmed were expected to miss the T20I leg due to Lanka Premier League commitments. Das has now resumed training at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium and is anticipated to be ready for the first ODI.

“It is a huge relief that he is back. Our physio is confident that he will be fit before the ODIs, considering he is an integral part of our all‑format set‑up,” said BCB chief selector Habibul Bashar to Cricbuzz on Thursday, June 25.

The solitary Test between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe begins on Sunday, June 28, followed by a three‑match ODI series on July 6, 9 and 11 at Harare Sports Club. The tour will conclude with three T20Is in Bulawayo’s Queens Sports Club on July 15, 17 and 19.
