Liv Morgan is rapidly expanding her acting portfolio, but the former Women’s World Champion narrowly missed out on a major role in the upcoming Street Fighter film.
During an appearance on Duke Loves Wrestling, former Paradigm talent agent Nick Lopiccolo disclosed that Morgan held several meetings with executives from Legendary Entertainment regarding the project.
Lopiccolo suggested that a significant injury was the only factor preventing Morgan from securing a part in the highly anticipated video game adaptation, stating:
“The sad thing is, and the unfortunate thing is, I don’t know that, again, I don’t necessarily want to bring this up and cause any hurt feelings, but if Liv Morgan didn’t tear her shoulder at the time that she tore her shoulder, I think the chances would be very, very high that she would have been in the movie as Cammy, and I don’t know that Cody would be in the movie at all.”
Lopiccolo further explained that Morgan’s shoulder injury made it impossible for her to travel to Australia to film the intense action sequences required for the character of Cammy.
Ultimately, the role of Cammy was given to Mel Jarnson (known for Mortal Kombat). The film’s cast is expected to include Roman Reigns as Akuma and Cody Rhodes as Guile.
Cammy White, famously known by her “Killer Bee” codename, first appeared in Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers in 1993 and has since become a staple of the franchise. The character was previously portrayed by Kylie Minogue in the 1994 live-action Street Fighter: The Movie and has featured prominently in various animated productions.
Despite missing out on the Street Fighter project, Morgan continues to build a diverse filmography, with credits including the Chucky television series, The Kill Room (2023), Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo (2026), and the forthcoming project Ping (2026).
