Online influencer Braden Peters, known as “Clavicular,” has been charged in Massachusetts with rape, providing alcohol to someone under the legal drinking age, and drugging a person for sexual intercourse, according to court records.
The alleged offenses took place in May 2025, according to charges filed in Orleans District Court in Massachusetts.
A spokesperson for Peters told CBS News, the BBC’s US partner, that the charges are “bogus” and that Peters had not yet been served with an arrest warrant.
Peters is also facing a civil lawsuit filed earlier this year by a woman who alleged that he gave her multiple rounds of vodka and had nonconsensual sex with her at his parents’ home on Cape Cod.
The woman said she was a minor at the time and accused him of injecting her with a substance not approved by the US Food and Drug Administration. Peters has denied the allegations.
The criminal charges filed this month do not identify the alleged victim.
Clavicular is known for his association with the online “looksmaxxing” movement, which focuses on maximizing physical attractiveness.
Earlier this year, Peters was also charged in Florida after filming himself shooting at what appeared to be a dead alligator. He later pleaded no contest to unlawfully discharging a firearm in public.
After the Massachusetts charges became public, Peters posted a video on X that appeared to show the woman who accused him, along with a handwritten note.
“Happens to all successful young men, people try to come for your money,” he wrote.
